About Growling Anvil

My name is Darren Davies and turning the hobby I've been paying for into a
business that pays me is the dream that I hope to make a reality.  
Before moving to Tasmania I was a member of a historical club in Melbourne.
Every Sunday we would meet at a beautiful old homestead in the Yarra Ranges. We
used to work our forges and show each other any new techniques we'd picked up or
pieces we'd made at home. It was a great way to learn the craft as well as being
a great social event to look forward to each week. As you can see by the photo
gallery, I've made quite a few pieces. Christmas and birthday presents are
always easy as I've made everything, from jewelry to gates, and I can usually
think of something my family or friends still need.
